When My Friends Need Outfit Advice, I Tell Them to Try These Looks With Jeans

I often get texts from friends asking for styling and shopping advice. It basically comes with the territory with my work as a fashion editor. And yes, I love it. One of my friends recently inquired about any easy outfit ideas I’ve seen from the fashion crowd that she could maybe try. Basically, when I hear the word “easy,” I almost always think of something with jeans because that perfect pair brings a chic, low-key vibe to a look.  So I sent her a couple of outfits from my saved folder on Instagram that feature jeans.

Need a simple yet impossibly-chic outfit idea? Consider a simple tube top with straight-leg jeans. A pair of ballet flats brings another chic and modern twist.

I always love the denim-on-denim look. The wide-leg jeans here with the addition of the belt are particularly noteworthy here.

This ensemble features a unique styling trick by adding two blazers on top of each other with a tee or tank and jeans.

A ribbed knit with a sweetheart neckline is very elegant with your favorite pair of jeans.

A striped knit or jacket brings instant polish to a look.
