If you know me, you know that patience is not my strong suit, especially when it comes to fashion. I'm always looking forward to the fashion seasons ahead, itching to know what the next buzzing trends will be and wanting to get my hands on the new It items before everyone else. Case in point? While we're still basking in the sweltering summer heat, I'm champing at the bit to start my fall shopping. 

After perusing Nordstrom's site from top to bottom, I've added a handful of fresh items that hit on some of fall's biggest trends to my shopping cart. From big and bold earrings to lingerie-inspired pieces, shop this fall's must-have pieces before everyone else.

Fall runways were laden with ultra-wearable plain-speaking basics with superior silhouettes and details. From crisp button-downs to cool hoodies, relaxed jeans, and tailored blazers, it's time to fill your wardrobe with luxe-looking staples that can be easily dressed up or down.

Move over, Barbiecore pink, the most dominant color trend of the season is a bold and vibrant red. The traffic-stopping color was seen in practically every collection on the F/W 23 runways, from Tory Burch to Ferragamo. The hourglass silhouette has been building momentum all season, and the F/W 23 collections confirmed that waist-cinching styles are officially on-trend (we're looking at you, Gigi Hadid, in that black Versace skirt suit). Opt for a belted dress, nipped-in blazer, or corset-style top to lean into the alluring look.

If there's one accessory to buy for fall, it's the chunky earring. We're seeing a continuing rise in bold statement earrings paired with everything from simple tops to elegant evening wear.
